Esami Cambridge ESOL:  Introduzione 

Cambridge ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) è il ramo dell'Università di Cambridge che si occupa di certificazioni per la lingua inglese. Gli esami sono riconosciuti a livello internazionale e sono particolarmente apprezzati in quanto valutano la reale conoscenza della lingua inglese che viene utilizzata sul lavoro, nello studio o nel tempo libero.

Sono molteplici le ragioni per cui si vuole ottenere una certificazione. Una certificazione può servire a:

• migliorare il proprio inglese 
• seguire un corso universitario in lingua inglese 
• ottenere un buon impiego 
• viaggiare o vivere all'estero. 

I certificati Cambridge ESOL sono riconosciuti da moltissime organizzazioni, sia per lo studio che in ambito lavorativo.

Qual è l'esame che fa per te?

General English

Gli esami di inglese generale sono conosciuti in tutto il mondo. Permettono di approfondire la conoscenza dell'inglese in una vasta gamma di contesti legati al mondo del lavoro, dello studio e al tempo libero.  Sono suddivisi in 5 livelli, corrispondenti a quelli del Quadro Comune Europeo di Riferimento per le Lingue che vanno (dal livello A2 a C2).

1a INDIPENDENZA B1	¨ 4 LOW INTERMEDIATE	Uses reasonably accurately a repertoire of frequently used routines and patterns associated with more predictable situations.		Has a sufficient vocabulary to express him/herself with some circumlocutions on most  topics pertinent to her/his everyday life such as family, hobbies and interests, work, travel and current events.
	¨ 5 MID INTERMEDIATE
2a INDIPENDENZA B2	¨ 6a UPPER           INTERMEDIATE 1	Shows a relatively high degree of grammatical control. Does not make mistakes which lead to misunderstanding.		Has a good range of vocabulary for matters connected to his field and most general topics. Can vary formulations to avoid frequent repetition, but lexical gaps can still cause hesitation and circumlocution.
	¨ 6b UPPER                INTERMEDIATE 2
3a INDIPENDENZA C1	¨ 7 ADVANCED 1	Consistently maintains a high degree of grammatical accuracy; errors are rare and difficult to spot.		Has a good command of a broad lexical repertoire allowing gaps to be easily overcome with circumlocutions; little obvious searching for expressions or avoidance strategies. Good command of idiomatic expressions and colloquialisms.
	¨  8 ADVANCED 2
C2	¨  9 POST ADVANCED	Maintains consistent grammatical control of complex language, even while attention is otherwise engaged (e.g. in forward planning, in monitoring others' reactions).		Has a good command of a very broad lexical repertoire including idiomatic expressions and colloquialisms; shows awareness of connotative levels of meaning.
